One mistake people make is, assume that their earring has to be flashier than what they are wearing. Which of these two scenarios is better: Someone walks up to you and says: “wow you look unbelievable today, by the way I love your earring” or “Wow, that’s a really nice earring.” Without complimenting your entire look. My point is, your overall look has to get more attention than the piece of jewelry on your ear.  And for that to happen, your earring should NEVER conflict or try to outshine your overall look.

Earrings frame your face, just like your hair does. With the right earring your face can achieve a special glow, making it brighter and more alive. Earrings that are decorated in front of its post, covering the pierced hole will reflect light starting from the right point which gives it a glow. These Earrings are good for parties or any other occasion that requires you to dress up in all your feminine glory.  Earrings with shepherd hooks will reflect light from the lower aspects, which makes it look more casual. These earrings are more suited for lighter or casual wear. Also with the shepherd hook if the earring is heavy it shows the drag on the lobe.

In summary, your earring shouldn’t standout before you do. It has to be tasteful, and willing to blend in with your clothes, makeup and any other accessory you have on. It should be an accessory, not the front player.
