Before I begin, let me make this clear: Style Lab: Jewelry Design is a video game but believe me when I say it’s not your typical video game. I know the next question I will get is someone asking: what does this have to do with inexpensive jewelry? And that’s a fair question, the reason I have chosen to write about this is because, this game will not only teach your tween daughters or sons to make bead jewelry and after they have designed the jewelry they can order what they designed online. Isn’t that just a grand idea? Teaching your kids to bead in a video game and then being able to buy whatever they made directly online.

When I first heard about this game, I wondered like most of you, why? What was the point? Instead of buying a video game that lets you pretend that you are beading, why not just do the real thing, afterall there’re many books and videos online willing to show you how to. And then I remembered that it was for TWEENS. What better way to get your child interested in making her own jewelry than giving her a game that lets her play around with the process.
